Overview
ParkAngel ("we," "our," or "us") operates the ParkAngel mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information: Email address and password when you create an account.
- Ticket claims: Photos of parking citations and supporting information submitted through the in-app claims flow when requesting reimbursement under our no-ticket guarantee.
- Payment information: Subscription purchases are processed through Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). We do not store your payment card details. Purchase history is managed by RevenueCat.
Information Collected Automatically
- Location data: When you save a parking location, we collect the precise GPS coordinates to identify applicable parking restrictions and schedule notifications. Location is only accessed when you actively save a location — we do not track your location in the background.
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version, used for debugging and improving app performance.
- Usage data: How you interact with the app, collected in aggregate to improve the product.

Third-Party Services
- Supabase — user authentication and data storage
- RevenueCat — subscription management and purchase verification
- Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing for subscriptions
- Expo / EAS — app delivery and push notification infrastructure
Push Notifications
ParkAngel sends local push notifications to alert you of upcoming parking restrictions at locations you have saved. These notifications are scheduled on your device and do not require us to send data to a server to trigger. You can disable notifications at any time in your device Settings.
Data Storage and Security
Your account data and saved locations are stored securely on Supabase servers in the United States. We use TLS encryption for all data in transit. Ticket claim photos are stored in a private, access-controlled storage bucket accessible only to ParkAngel staff processing your claim.
Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
- Saved locations: Retained until you delete them or your account is closed.
- Ticket claim records: Retained for 12 months after claim resolution for accounting purposes.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, delete, or export your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@parkangel.app. You can also delete your account directly in the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account.
Children's Privacy
ParkAngel is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
